Human beings are weakened easily by their emotions, emotions that only few are blessed to control such. One great emotional weakness of human beings is their fear in life, fears that came from birth to death. Fears are what mostly affect the daily lives of men and women and their children, fears that develop more as we try to let it influence our lives.

As human beings, we do not know what could happen in your life and it is this doubtfulness of ourselves that our fears develop within us. Every human being should now know that it is them themselves who created this paranoia within them and that they themselves should how to conquer such imagery within them. One should now know that facing your fears is the best solution to stop this paranoia happening inside of us. Every being has its own weaknesses and strengths and that it is in our strong points that we tend to find our weak points in life. Every being, no matter how weak they are, use their strong points to conquer every weak string within their anatomy.

It is your fear that tries to stop you from reaching your goals in life, fears that even you yourself can manage and control. If you tend to let your fear overrule you, you end up a coward to the society. Many individuals achieved their dreams in life by conquering their fears and not letting these fears in them stand on their way on reaching the sweetness of success.

Marriage is perhaps the highest form of relationship among human beings. Marriage, as defined in article one of the family code of the Philippine constitution, is a special contract of permanent union between a man and a woman entered into in accordance with law for the establishment of conjugal and family life.

Annulment of marriage is a situation of where married couples are separated because of some internal conflicts as being a joined couple. In annulment, a couple would be considered legally separated from one another but still you have some complications to fulfill to your spouse even that you are no longer considered as a couple. Another issue arose from the ideas of couples who no longer want to be connected in any way with his or her previous spouse, an issue called now as absolute divorce. In absolute divorce, any member of a separated couple would be no longer connected with one another, any member of a separated couple would be allowed to remarry again and start a new conjugal and married life. Not one of the separated couple is required to strive for his or her previous spouse; they are no longer string-attached with each other.

Absolute divorce is one big social issue that our heads would be dealing, whether if we would agree or not on the implementing the legality of such act. We ourselves are not sure of what the society could possibly do if such level of separation would be allowed? A person could marry someone one after another if he or she has enough reason to commit such infidelity. If any couple would be separated for just any reason, such acts would undergo the so-called situation as breach of contract. A marriage contains some conditions that should be followed and one of which is eternal fidelity, faithfulness to your loved even at good times or bad times. An absolute divorce is a contradiction to staying faithful to one person. Being married to someone else is one big sign of infidelity. Not a single person stays faithful to someone after being attached with someone else. This situation is what we sometimes call of an act of lust, lustful emotions that could destroy the conjugal and family life of a joined couple. Absolute divorce is not yet implemented by our country’s constitution since this social issue need more time to make a decision that would be for good at all aspects.

A life of marriage with someone is not just a game you play during your childhood. You are already an adult when you get married and therefore must be responsible in every thing you are engaging your life with. Perhaps the reason why marriage is not allowed for minors is that teenagers have mixed emotions. Their emotions could change any moment of their life. Getting into an intimate relationship like marriage should be for those that are a hundred percent sure of their decision. Unmarried couples should try reaching longer time with each other exposing themselves to countless obstacles to prove whether they are already ready to engage in a conjugal and married life with only one person in their life.

The law is an overlapping system of principles that promote the common good, principles made by those who realized the harshness of injustice and the ruins of violence. It is a rule where every individual, under jurisdiction of the law, is required to abide by it regardless of his or her nature. An individual who masters the law is a competent man, a man who had been out of being ignorant to a system of rule influenced by past events or cultures. A man who masters the law is called a lawyer. It is one of the well-respected professions all over the world, a profession where you need both your will to learn about the law and your ability to analyze certain cases.

Being a lawyer is not an easy thing to do. A lawyer must be well-educated of the laws that are enacted over his or her country’s premises. You must undergo years of teaching to understand every single act. You need to memorize every article and sections under your country’s constitution. Being a lawyer means that are left responsible for your clients, to serve and protect him or her to any unjustifiable acts done against him or her. You must protect your client as if your life depended on it. You must express to the courts of jurisdiction every point of view of your clients’ innocence, being a lawyer means that you know every human being’s rights, rights that the law must preserve for the common good. You must protect each and every person’s right. Being a lawyer means that, at all means, you should protect your fellow men and your country against every unjust act and every discriminating action. Being a lawyer means that, you are conscious of every law that is enacted by the legislative body. You are capable of expressing to those people, that are ignorant of a nature of a law’s enactment, why such enactment should be done. You yourself are capable of educating your own family and countrymen of the certain objectives of an enacted law. You yourself can be a leader of an organization whose objective to preserve human justice, conserve the people’s right ad serve your countrymen.

A lawyer is a profession where you would be representing your clients in court, working overtime to search for laws and regulations to defend your clients’ innocence, searching every fault that the accuser had done in charging your client and most of al, dedicating yourself to an overlapping influence of society regarding an issue.

A lawyer is a profession where your commitment to become such professional would be tested before and during your career life, a career not only for yourself but for the betterment of all. A lawyer must undergo serious matters in life where strong-will and dedication in oneself would be needed. The law is hard but that is the law. Mastering such complicated philosophies is a task where every professional lawyer had and would have to accomplish, perhaps the greatest accomplishment a man must fulfill.

.. thE rule of thE peOplE..

The definition of democracy is simple, the rule of the people, a simple definition of what democracy is from the wikipedia.org. democracy is the current government sysytem of te Philippine archipelago, a system where every individual is a part of it. Consider yourself in a life where our government system would be change? Consider yourself putting the hopes of your fellow coutrymen to the hands of your leaders.

A certain proposal was made by some of the congreess to change our government sysytem, to change into a parliamentary system of ruling. I was part of the debating team assigned to tackle on the issues of changing our government into a parliament, a parliament where the prime minister would be the head of te government into of a president. In a parliament ruling, the prime minster would be connectd with the legislative body of the government, the body that enacts laws to its country. The prime minister’s connection with the legislative body could be a threat to us where the prime minister could ifluence the heads of the legislature to implement laws for te betterment of themselves. An abuse of such power would not be far from this situation. The prime minister’s power could bring down every opposition against him with just one simple word.

In a parliament system of government, not every individual is given a chance to choose whom he or she wants to become the next prime minister. Only a leser percentage of the country’s population would be conidered voters. It could mean a greater possibility of manipulation of vote cards, vote cards that could either bring good or harm to the entire nation. A nation’s success or downfall would be now in the hands of few voters.

A view of martial law would be somehow visible during a parliamentary rule. The prme minister could manipulate every person’s life. He could bring them to luxury or jeopardy. Lesser oppostions would be present in the country. Hopes of those oppositions under a parliament would be lesser than the hopes of the oppositions under a democratic government.

Life is game, you must know how to handle things and how to live by it. Try to imagine yoursel in worst case scenarios. These act could indeed prepare yourself from every obstacle that your nation would try to cross.

Prostitution describes the act of sexual intercourse in exchange for money.” A definition of prostitution coming from a world-known internet dictionary, wikipedia.org. the said internet dictionary defines prostution as somehow engaging sex as a livelihood. Prostitution in the Philippines is banned. Any person caught in the act of engaging in prostution cought be sentenced for jail.

Prostitution is also a social problem to our country. Most women who can not afford to reach high school end up in streets with pimps. One other cause of why women engage in prostitution is that it earns “more” money than those government employees earn for working for an hour. A prostitute is believed to earn about at lest two thousand pesos for an hour of perverted sex, such immoral act just enough to feed your entire family for the enitre week or just enough money to hang out in bars and coffeeshops.

Most women that suffer poverty in the entire Philippine archipelago are potential would-be prostitutes. They end up doing such a disgraceful act just to live another day with at least a crumb of bread in their sromachs. Why, of all things to solve poverty, do you have to be engage in prostitution. Your body is a sacred temple, a temple that should be used for immoral actions. Engaging in prostitution exposes tourself to world-known sexuall transmitted diseases that can make your life more of a living hell on earth. Such disease could be passed on to other persons through sexual intercouse.

Your body should be well respected. You yourself should be held responsible for its safety. Do not let others nor yourself do such immoral acts to your body.

Families, families that have the capability financially to become a leader of our country, had ruled our country. A family of dictators would rule my grandfather’s government offices and perhaps my grandchildren’s government system. There would be a ruling of so-called royal families. These situations are what we call as the political dynasty, a dynasty of families that rule our country whether for a short or long span of time. Political dynasty first started during the time of the Kings and the Queens and the pharaohs. Someone relative by blood would succeed each ruler’s position, a succession of the same principles of leadership. They are those people who have the same motive in being a leader and how they would change our country. They would try their perception of how their country should be governed through their successors that they had influenced since childhood.

Political dynasty is not allowed by the constitution of the Philippines. Political dynasty is forbidden to avoid the unequal distribution of wealth, a wealth that they earn by being a “servant” to his or her fellowmen. I am somehow confused of why our judiciary department still allow political dynasty to still exist in the country’s premises. Political dynasty is one of the things that have not been gone for the past administrative bodies. Political dynasty is prevailed by families that are in greed of power and wealth. Even though that political dynasty is very visible around the country’s boundaries, not a single act was done to try to prevent it to happen, not a single person filed a complaint against those who pertain to political dynasty. Every person is afraid to be against a family of Supremes that have enough power to sentence you to death, enough power that can destroy you and your entire family tree.

I myself am already exposed to this situation at my age of this moment of time. Different political dynasties have passed me, each perhaps in every island in the entire Philippine archipelago. Most politicians, or maybe all politicians, that had been part of a political dynasty are rich men. But can rich men solve our number one problem in our country, poverty? How could they solve this problem if they themselves haven’t slept in a manger for just once in their lifetime? Could they really understand how and why our country is filled not only by politically-engaged families but by families experiencing poverty and famine?

This article would try to open up the people’s mind to not encourage themselves in voting candidates that could be part of political dynasty unless his or her vote means a loss of a liter of blood in his body or if his or her life depends on it. At least, a single act could be done to try to prevent another reigning political dynasty. Same principles of being a leader don’t open a new idea on how to improve our country. It is the overlapping of principles that could perhaps save a nation from its downfall.

Marriage, as defined in article one of the family code of the Philippine constitution, is a special contract of permanent union between a man and a woman entered into in accordance with law for the establishment of conjugal and family life. Why did article one really specify that marriage is between a male and a female”? Is there such marriage that a man would also marry a man or something aside from a woman?

Actually, there is really such thing but is preferred to be just in a level of companionship. Solemnizing officers tend to deny those couples, aside from a man and a woman, to engage in such intimate relationship like marriage. Is this an act of discrimination? Doesn’t this act by such solemnizing officers violate us of our natural right, which is the right to love, the right to choose of whom we want to be with and be not separated unless the union violates the sacred Ten Commandments? But other than that, persons that have authority over us tend to encourage us to forbid such act in engaging in a relationship other than that of a relationship of a man and a woman, influencing us to what they say as the ideal view of a relationship or perhaps the practical view of a relationship a relationship where the public should consider the way it is supposed to be.

To be honest, I am talking about relationships between lesbians or homosexuals, relationship between those of the same sexes. It is now visible in our society that there is indeed such type of relationship. We tend to discriminate them for doing such acts that we thought to be immoral. But they are also human beings, they have their own pint of view on which they want to engage in an affair with. Instead we should try to somehow listen to their point of views. If they could prove to us that they should be together as couples, then without further doubts, we should support them in their decision. They are also human beings regardless of how they act and think and therefore deserve equal respect.

Same-sex marriages are somehow not valid in our constitution but there is no law that forbids us from our freedom of expression. We humans express our love in different ways, ways that somehow could be weird to our society.

..a liviNg lEgAcy..

Each of us has different personalities that make this world a unique place to live in, each portraying in the perspectives of a magician who never shares his secret, a warrior who never shows his weakness or a martyr who never shows his sadness. Somehow we want to be remembered like these personals whose personality is defined by all, a personality that somehow differentiates your self from others.

As we walk into a new journey, we tend to leave behind memories hoping that these people would cherish it and keep it as a living treasure, a treasure that only few people would realize its worth.

Leaving memories is perhaps one of the things that a person can achieve before reaching success. Leaving memories is like leaving a part of you to those people you know that had been a part of you as a whole. You leave memories to server as an inspiration to those who you want to succeed in life without you being there beside them all the time. You leave your memories behind hoping that they won’t forget that you had been with them even for just a short span of time.

As I live my alma mater, I want the people I leave behind to remember me simply as David Aiello Velez Zamora who, in every moment, would cherish every second he had during his high school days. I want to be remembered as the UP drum corps snarer for four years who would bring music to people’s ears in every single beat of a figurine, a snarer who gave countless efforts to be considered as one. I want to be simply remembered as someone whose life is string-attached to music, someone who would learn to appreciate every genre in music and enjoy its distinctive melody, an amateur guitarist who, with all efforts, practiced every basic in playing the musical instrument which also gave popularity to the island of Cebu.

I want to be remembered as a sporty person, someone who, in every Intramurals event, gave his one hundred percent effort for his team. I want to leave behind memories of me as a basketball enthusiast, a volleyball die-hard, etc. I am personally connected with sports by heart and by blood. Tennis, badminton, table tennis, basketball, volleyball, softball, soccer, sepak takraw are some of the sports that my family are engage with as a whole, the sports that made our every loud beat of our hearts, the sports that somehow made my family’s hearts beat as one.

I want to be remembered as someone who would give his every smile to cheer up every lonely heart that needs accompaniment, someone who wants every person around him to be happy and be always enthusiastic, to be proud of his or her existence and most of all, and enjoy life.

These are one of the things that I want my alma mater to remember of me as I go into a new stage in life, a new stage in life closer in pursuing my personal dreams.

Friends are persons that you could be with where you are not afraid to show the real you. Besides your family, they are those persons who you can turn to when you have problems or when you are in need of care. True friendship is one of the greatest gifts in life. It is when you learn to love and trust a person. Trusting a person is perhaps hard but it is when you venerate someone other than your self.

Of course, I also have some friends of my own. I met most them in school and some during the summer days. Perhaps we were destined to meet or maybe we met in life because we need friends of our own. We experienced both happy and sad moments together and these moments are what we would always commit to memory. I had learned points of life from them. I learned how sad life would be when you are by yourself with no friends to be with. Perhaps, your friends would be your second family.

I spend time friends with my friends of the same sex playing sports, making music together, hanging out or just having good times. How I spend with my friends of the opposite sex are not so different with how I spend with my male friends. Both have something in common. It is to have good times together. Being with the same or opposite sex does not matter as long as you are having fun together as a group.

I had some many fun moments with my friends. I would just mention few of the thousand of them. One of them was on the practicing of the ABAKADA presentation. Some of us were actors and actresses; some were props men and some were group leaders. The production was about the history of our country. It was not an easy task since limited would be formed from millions of sceneries that happened in our country. It was somehow fun doing the production.

Another of my fun moments was during Intramurals 2006. It was the students’ most awaited event of the school year. It was a weeklong event where distinct year levels of the UP high school community compete with each other to get the over-all championship. Our batch won this school year’s Intramurals championship. As seniors, we were the one who would much expected to be champions so we did our best to win the title fight. Winning the championship was not an easy task since the other year levels played a tough game. But in the end, we proved to them that we were the one who played our hearts out and deserve the championship.

These moments will always be remembered for these were the times where I struggled and succeed along with my friends. I had such good times with them. I hope after reading this, you would learn how to value your friends and be thankful for having them in your life. If you learn how to keep your friends, they will last forever.

..emOtiOnAl blindnEss..

Love is one of the most misunderstood words. A word that has no definite meaning in this world of overlapping societies. Perhaps every person defined love based on his or her experiences, a misfortune in life or a great treasure. If you ask a person seriously of what love means to him or her, he or she end up speechless for a matter of time and sometimes tend to make jokes with it. It is so funny that human beings tend to treat this serious matter as a joke. Perhaps to show why the societies don’t have a unified meaning on this misunderstood word.

Questions were raised on love. Questions were raised by those who want to what love is or what love can do. One question that got my interest into was, “is love blind?” Could love be really blind? Can something that we only feel have the deficiencies of living beings? After countless research, I realized that the phrase was not to be taken literally.

Love couldn’t be blind. It is the person that becomes blind. Not blinded physically but blinded by the facts about the real personality of the person he or she fell in love with. A person that fell in love with someone would not afford to look at the negative sides of that person. What he or she would accept are the good sides of that person. Because of this, many people tend to live life as one sided, only the positive perspective. Only those who realize their emotional blindness are the ones that could balance his or her perspectives on his or her loved one.

One great fact about of love is that when you tend to be blinded by the facts of someone’s personality, you tend to somehow sacrifice everything for that person. These are somehow the lives of the martyrs, martyrs that made his or her a life a living misery because of this emotional blindness. It is because of this human frailty to consider both sides that came to this tragedy, a tragedy where both you and your life would be a living disappointment.

Late realization of this emotional blindness could cause the world-known famous break-ups, annulments, divorces and sometimes suicides. It is because of this emotional blindness that people couldn’t afford to be called, as weak mortals and that they would instead say that love is the blind matter not them.

It is so ironic that wise people become unwise because of this now famous emotional blindness. They say that it is love that caused to their greatest downfall in life. Or was it? Again, I associate them as hopeless morals that could not face the simple fact that it is his or her emotional weakness to this matter not love itself that made this downfall.

Love is really a misunderstood word. Only few were given the ability to be at least safe from this emotional blindness. Only few realize at the right moment that it is not love that is blind but is the human mind that is.

..sUicidE..

Individuals that commit suicide are what I consider as the weakest persons on earth. I’d rather use my life I borrowed than let be wasted because of our fear of facing problems in life. Suicide is an immoral act. It is a disgrace to your family’s name, a disgrace you brought because of you can’t face the facts of life. You should rather use your life for good than waste it for just a single problem that could be solved.

Suicide is also a social problem. Men and women rather choose to commit suicide than face the harsh facts of their lives. Not every thing on earth is given an opportunity to live a life here on earth. You should be thankful to your creator for what you have now. Never waste that opportunity since it only happens once in a lifetime.

Having a low self-esteem is considered to be one of the reasons why a person commits suicide. Being not able to satisfy your society’s expectation from you could also be a reason why an individual could do such immoral act. But is this what it is all about? No! Life is a precious gift. Use it for the betterment of the good, not to contribute to a problem. Of course, life wouldn’t be easy. It is a challenge given to us, a challenge to make through good tomes or bad times. It wouldn’t be life if it would be easy. Life wasn’t meant to be that way. Every individual must strive to achieve certain goals. There’s no such thing as “ no sweat”.

You should rather face your problems together with your family and friends than leave them with a disgrace of you committing the lowest form of action. You should rather spend valuable time than waste it.

..drUg addictiOn..

Drug addiction is a state of psychological addiction of a being into taking drugs exceeding their required dosage. This mental problem can affect a person’s mind and health. Several Filipinos had been identified as drug addicts. Most of which belong to the lower class of the Philippines’ society that experience poverty and famine. Even children at very young age are caught taking drugs without a doctor’s prescription, each child being influenced by adults or teenagers that are also potential addicts themselves. In urban areas all over our country, every town has a potential drug lord or a drug addict. But less than a half of them are caught by the nation’s security. Could these drug lords have power over our policemen? Could they manipulate the policemen’s mind? One great power that a drug lord has is money, money they earn through trading certain amounts of illegal drugs in exchange for huge quantities of money. Only those drug traders that are financially poor that are mostly caught in their illegal acts. Our country belongs to top five lists of the Asian countries that are engaged to illegal drug dosage, particularly in the dosage of met amphetamine or we know as “shabu”. Famous drug lords here inhibit our country on earth. Some of which are now cheating millionaires, buying every police department to be saved from being caught during its operation.Drug addiction could cause to a nation’s downfall. Our leaders or even us should discourage those that could be potential drug addicts. A simple act could save many lives and the future of our country.

..gEnder rivAlry..

Men and women are both created by God, each having a definite role to portray in this world, a role where each individual is required to give his one hundred percent effort. As what they say, men and women are exact opposite of each other: physically, mentally and emotionally. Our society considers some weaknesses of men and women, weaknesses that somehow show the difference between a male and a female. Women tend to be emotional beings. They tend to be controlled by their emotions. Never make a woman decide on something when she is feeling confused of her emotions. This could cause an upset of the situation, an upset that could ruin everything. What I also don’t understand in women is their nature of dealing things. They are those that easily get inspired over a simple happening on that day. Women are sometimes also unpredictable. You will never know what she is hiding from the world. You can’t determine the flow of her emotions. You will never know what she would probably do at that very moment. Men, on the other hand, are such expressive beings and sometimes are violent in nature. Men are those who tend to face their problem alone. They sometimes don’t accept criticism of others. Men want to deal with things that could be solved in an instant. They are those that are not impatient enough to wait another second to solve a chaotic situation. What I saw mostly in men is that they are mostly involved in social misbehaviors: smoking in public, gambling in casinos, drug addiction, etc. Most men are hooked with vices even at a very young age. Nowadays, you could even see a five-year old child smoking a cigarette in the streets. They are those beings that are easily overruled by temptations. These problems on men and women show that we all are human beings and that we all commit mistakes and have weaknesses. Being weak, in all aspect, doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve to be here on earth. Every human being has a weakness inside of him or her, a weakness that show why we are human beings.

..childhOod wOndErs..

Childhood is a stage of curiosity of a human being, a stage where you seem ignorant to every thing in the world. But this ignorance of the child raises questions that even the wise men on earth end up not sure of their answers. An uneducated child amazingly can make a wise man mute and startled for a moment by its question.I myself also raised some questions that are now still left unanswered, quesions that i myself am trying to answer in any possible but right way. I would share to you my questions i raised since childhood hoping that you could help me find an answer to this questions.Could there really be a God here on earth now? Could the garden of eve still exist on earth? If not now, did the garden exist before in our seven continents? What was the real identity of the thing tht made adam and eve eat the forbidden fruit? Was it really a serpent or just an allegory? Was the cross an evil instrument since it was were Jesus Christ died? If the sun is a star and the sun is revolved by planets, could there be planets revolving around the stars we see at night? Could there be other life forms than us here on earth? Could we really be born sinners? They say that memory gap happens as soon as we reach adulthood but why can't we remember now what happened to us when we were just a one-year old child? Doesn't this mean that memory gap can appear even at a young age? Why do we have to die? Could there reall be reincarnation? Could something be living now here on earth whose identity is still a mystery? Would time come that we human beings be extinct? Would human beings be the last living life forms left before the end of the world? Why of all living beings are we left responsible on every thing here on earth? Is this a puunishment we receive because of what our ancestors, adam and eve, had done? Could the be really true love? Is love blind? How do we knoow that it is love that we feel?Questions are raised perhaps to know why and how exist one earth, to know how it all started and how it would end.

..KYSD..

KYSD stands for Know Your School Day. It is an event in the UP society where students are given the chance to be teachers and learn how to appreciate what their teachers underwent for every lesson they had everyday. Being a teacher is not that easy. This was the main reason why I decided not to apply as a subject teacher and just be a student. Applicants underwent screenings for the positions that they want to attain during the KYSD event and most of them were given the chance. After reaching their temporary positions, the student applicants were given the responsibility as a faculty member, the responsibility to bring knowledge to the students and bring discipline to them. These were the challenging tasks the student applicants underwent during their days as a subject teacher of a faculty staff. At the end of the event, students were to present a presentation showing their gratitude towards their teachers. This was the most awaited part of the KYSD event. The presentation determined how happy the presenters were to have teachers like them. A senior student made a song composition about their high school days in UP high and how their teachers help them. The composition served as the presentation of the seniors as a whole. The KYSD event is an eye-opener to those students who at first don’t appreciate the value of their teachers and how they helped to reach for their dreams. During this event, the students realize how important a real teacher could be and how hard it is to be one. Being a teacher is a profession where there should be pure dedication, a dedication to help every student to be morally educated and to succeed in life.

To love is to see an imperfect person perfectly; to see not a single flaw. These are perhaps lines from the past that are influenced by the works of late writers who try to give love a meaning similar to how love is defined in the bible. These philosophies of love would somehow end in a tragic way. As what we are, we have become romantic investors. We never lend a single without asking something in return. Love, nowadays, is like running a business of you own. You need to sacrifice things of your in order to satisfy yourself at the end. We have been like practical businessmen, minimize outcome and maximize income. It is hard to see nowadays an image of the late martyrs of the past, to see those who love unselfishly and never expect something in return. It is now hard to find the similarities of what love is expected to be and from what love is practically. But what really is love? Is it barely human blindness to not see the crookedness of his or her companion or just plainly suicidal sacrifices for his or her companion? Is love like a charity act or a banking institute? As human beings, we tend to believe different philosophies. Some are transcendent of the late martyrs and some are those who seem to realize the awful truth of being a martyr. Some are living romantic investors and some live a life that would end in tragedy. Love as what they say has so many meanings, meanings that came from different influences of hearts who either lived in tragedy or lived in luxury. Experiences of the past are the roots of why love is defined nowadays. Perhaps experience is the best teacher.
